AMERICAN ACCENT SKILLS
THE WORKSHOP
Twelve fun, two-hour sessions will help you to hear, produce, and use American intonation, stress, rhythm, reductions, word connections, and troublesome sounds. The materials, written by the director, are included in the course tuition and are modern, practical, and systematic. Small classes (six-student maximum) will ensure that you receive individual and specialized attention. Classes are modular and on going. You can jump in any time.
THE AMERICAN ACCENT PROFILE
Designed for curious students, this two-hour eye-opening accent analysis and private consultation will give you an idea of where you are. You will discover where you already speak with a standard American accent, find out where your personal difficulties lie, learn more about your speaking style, and receive helpful tips for further practice and improvement. Included in the session is an individualized color-coded accent profile booklet for you to take with you that outlines your strengths and weaknesses. ONE-TO-ONE INSTRUCTION
Focus on your own personal difficulties and interests. Prepare lectures, concentrate on job-related dialogues, sharpen social conversation. Determine the course content, or follow a generic course. The choice is yours! Flexible schedule.
